amp.ire is a DJ and producer working out of Germany, and — somewhere along the way — a developer too. The sets, the records and the software all come from the same place: a habit of taking sound apart to hear what else it could be.
The plugins started as private tools — things that were missing from a session or a set and got built rather than worked around. Alter Ego is the first one polished enough to release, and it is still shaped by whatever is being played and made alongside it.
Everything here is made by one person. That means the answer to a support email comes from whoever wrote the code, and it also means the odd slow reply. Both seem like a fair trade.
